Overview

Overview and key benefits.

A practical summary for procurement, R&D and QA teams comparing application fit, format and processing requirements.

Date syrup is a thick, dark-brown liquid with characteristic date aroma. It brings liquid sweetness and date flavour to a formulation. Evaluate viscosity and dosing at the intended processing temperature, alongside the finished recipe’s colour and flavour.

Country of origin: Iran. 100% natural, with no additives.

  • For a bulk date syrup quote, share your application, order quantity, destination and required delivery schedule. Include your refrigerated transport arrangements and storage below 20 °C, and request current availability, minimum order and sample options for the 280 kg drum.

How it’s made

Dates are extracted with water to release their soluble components. The remaining fruit solids are separated, and part of the water is removed to form syrup. This liquid format brings sweetness and date flavour together.

Pourable date sweetness lends itself to toppings, glazes, sauces and drink bases, with a fuller date direction than a neutral sweetener.

Where it fits

01

Consider dessert drizzles, café drinks, marinades, glazes and bakery recipes. Select a grade around the intended balance of sweetness, colour and date character.

Technical notes

What to evaluate

01

Trial viscosity at the actual serving or processing temperature. Balance the liquid contribution in the recipe and check colour development, flavour and dosing repeatability.

Blend or finish

A syrup mixed through a cake or drink has a different role from a visible drizzle. Prepare the intended serving style first, then decide whether date should lead each bite or provide a smaller finishing note.

Give the paired ingredient a purpose

Choose a clear direction for a blend: cocoa for a darker dessert, apple for an orchard-fruit sauce or a tart fruit for contrast. Compare the finished combination with a date-only reference so you can identify what the second ingredient contributes.

Keep a dosing record

Record the syrup weight, recipe water and temperature used for each comparison. Keep the preferred trial as a complete recipe record, including its serving conditions, rather than approving the taste of the syrup on its own.

Questions

Ingredient questions

How should a buyer compare date syrups?

Compare samples at the same recipe inclusion and review soluble solids, flavour, colour and viscosity together. A product name alone does not establish an interchangeable specification.

Is date syrup the same product as date liquid sugar?

Ekinden lists date liquid sugar separately from date syrup. This syrup is a dark-brown liquid with characteristic date aroma. Compare each product’s specification and its effect on your recipe’s colour, flavour and liquid balance before selecting a grade.

Does the date syrup require refrigerated transport?

Yes. The supplied specification calls for refrigerated transport. Store the unopened product below 20 °C, protected from direct sunlight. After opening, reseal and keep refrigerated. Confirm the transport arrangements before ordering.
