Overview

Overview and key benefits.

A practical summary for procurement, R&D and QA teams comparing application fit, format and processing requirements.

Apple concentrate brings the familiar character of apple juice into a concentrated liquid form. It gives recipe developers a versatile fruit foundation: apple can lead a drink, connect a mixed-fruit blend or sit behind a more distinctive ingredient such as pomegranate.

Its place extends beyond beverages. Think apple glazes, fruit sauces and gently spiced dessert components, or combine it with a date ingredient for an orchard-fruit direction. Choose concentrate when the recipe calls for juice character; apple purée offers a different route when fruit pulp and body are central.

Country of origin: Iran. 100% natural, with no additives.

Technical notes

How it’s made

Juice is extracted from apples, then concentrated by removing part of its water. It remains a liquid ingredient for blending.

Rounded apple character provides a familiar foundation for drinks, orchard-fruit blends, glazes and sauces with both sweet and savoury ingredients.

Application notes

In the kitchen and the recipe

Beverages

Build apple-led drinks or combine with grape, sour cherry or pomegranate. Set the balance in the finished drink rather than tasting the concentrate alone.

Sauces and glazes

Use apple as a fruit note in a spiced glaze or a sweet-savoury sauce with mustard, vinegar or warm spices.

Questions

A closer look

How does concentrate differ from purée?

Concentrate starts from juice and is concentrated by removing water. Purée brings the fruit’s pulped flesh, so it has a different role in texture and mouthfeel.
